I hit the milk-glass jackpot on Wednesday while visiting my mom. I stopped at two local thrift stores, and when I turned the aisle at the first one, I had to contain myself from squealing with excitement. (I didn’t want the other shoppers to start scooping up on my finds- lol) I picked up most of the pieces in this photo for $1-$5 a piece.
We went to a rather large flea market in New Orleans over the weekend, and while I spotted a LOT of milk glass, it was mostly overpriced. I saw the same large vase in the photo for $30, and I picked it up at Goodwill for $4. Wow! And let’s just talk about the lovely bowl- it was on sale for half off- and came to a whopping $.70. WHAT!? It’s now my sweet little fruit bowl.
I really love all of the details on these pieces. The shorter container in the front serves for my new pencil holder in the studio, and the teapot sits on my kitchen window. Although I love the way they all look together, I really do not have any place to display them as a group.
My thoughtful hubby surprised me with the purple flowers, and I absolutely love them <3 I couldn’t wait to put them in my new vase! The little green pom is a single survivor from Dax’s party, I think it loves it’s home on my windowsill.
Have you made any exciting purchases recently?

I too love milk glass and have a growing collection! I just wish I could think of someway to display it. I’ve found my pieces at the local thrift store as well. The prices sure beat the antique stores.
