I’ve been receiving many questions about setting up Feedburner, and chances are that you have heard of Feedburner at some point by now. Instead of sending you to another place on the net to find answers, I thought I’d just explain it here
If you’re still not sure what it is, Feedburner is a service providing RSS feeds and management tools for your website or blog. Today I’m going to teach you how to quickly and easily set up a Feedburner account.
1. Create an account or login at Feedburner.com.
2. Click on the feed you wish to work with. (You may first need to burn a feed if you’re just getting started).
3. At the top click on ->Publicize.
4. On the left ->Email Subscriptions.
5. Scroll down and click ‘Activate’.
You are now ready to have your readers subscribe to your feed through an email subscription.
If you’re using the Genesis Framework, you can now use the Enews widget (shown on the left) by simply adding it to any widget area, and entering your Google/Feedburner ID into the box.
If you are adding this to your blog on your own, simply copy and paste the generated code into a text widget.
Be sure to check out my own little Subscribe box in the sidebar and sign up!
