Wonderland Wednesday

I stumbled upon some fantastic wonderland-inspired photos that I’d like to share today. These photos are from an Alice in Wonderland photoshoot from Lisa Tucker Photography, and they are absolutely awesome. I STILL want to do some photos like this… maybe one day!

What do you think about these? I love the purple flowers and clock  in the first image, and the chair in the second image is so ‘Alice’!

In other news, keep an eye on Viva la Violette! I’ll be launching a new website in less than 3 days- eek!! I’m very excited to share it with all of you ;)

Hope you’re having a fantastic week!

wonderland wednesday- ring collection by H. Stern

Today I stumbled upon the most amazing Alice in Wonderland rings created by H. Stern. Have you seen them? Aside from them just being lovely to look at, they truly are one-of-a-kind pieces. Each ring highlights segments of the film’s story, referencing Alice’s voyage through Wonderland.

Cheshire Cat Ring
* A blue enameled 18k gold figure (with a smile of fluorescent paint that glows in the dark) roosted on gold branches dusted with diamonds.

Topiary Ring
A bird-shaped topiary perched on a double-band ring featuring enameled gold leaves.
Mushroom Forest Ring
* Enameled 18k gold fungi in colors and patterns—some diamond accented—that mimic the effects of live toadstools.
Flower Ring
* Living Flowers in blackened gold.

The Jabberwocky
*A dragon that terrorized Wonderland and was recreated in black gold and diamonds.

All five styles come in two sizes—human and big (how cool is that?) and are priced at $4,500 and $20,000.  The big rings are quite big, featuring massive motifs.  H.Stern refers to the big rings as “extraordinary concept pieces.” The human size rings will appeal to customers who actually might want to wear them in real life.
