New Landscaping and New Design

So this is kind of a 2-in-1 post.

First-let me start by introducing you to the new blog design, what do you think?? I’m so excited about it!

The bigger-than-that news is that we finally have NEW LANDSCAPING! We’ve lived in our house for over 3 years now, and it was long overdue. I’m not much of a gardener, in fact- everything that I plant dies. Immediately. So I used this as my excuse for three years. But it got old, fast.

Favorite Finds- Happy Cloud Moments

Today I’d like to feature one of my blog advertisers- Happy Cloud Moments.

I met Joyce many months ago, and I absolutely love the girly and sparkly aspect of the items in her shop. It’s one of my favorite shops to browse though- her photos are beautiful and each jewelry piece is so colorful and fun. I’ve ordered a necklace from her, and she even made some custom charms for my pandora bracelet. I was very impressed with the quality of her jewelry, and was quite happy when she decided to jump on board and showcase her ad on my blog.

I hit the milk-glass jackpot on Wednesday while visiting my mom. I stopped at two local thrift stores, and when I turned the aisle at the first one, I had to contain myself from squealing with excitement. (I didn’t want the other shoppers to start scooping up on my finds- lol) I picked up most of the pieces in this photo for $1-$5 a piece.

We went to a rather large flea market in New Orleans over the weekend, and while I spotted a LOT of milk glass, it was mostly overpriced. I saw the same large vase in the photo for $30, and I picked it up at Goodwill for $4. Wow! And let’s just… Continue reading | 1 Comment

Hi, Cupcake

More Bathroom Ideas

I’ve been looking at decorating ideas for the bathroom, once it’s complete (one can dream!). I found a few favorites to go with the color scheme, but my most favorite is probably the pebble rug, and the clock! I love the blue mosaic tiles, and the vintage seashell imagery. Perfect! I also found a few color swatches that I’m really diggin’. Which do you prefer? I’m leaning towards crystal clear myself… Finding the perfect shade of Aqua is quite tricky!
