So this is kind of a 2-in-1 post.
First-let me start by introducing you to the new blog design, what do you think?? I’m so excited about it!
The bigger-than-that news is that we finally have NEW LANDSCAPING! We’ve lived in our house for over 3 years now, and it was long overdue. I’m not much of a gardener, in fact- everything that I plant dies. Immediately. So I used this as my excuse for three years. But it got old, fast.
With my birthday quickly approaching (eeps!), I wanted to finish up some things from my 30 before 30 list. I knew there was no way to finish so many things in so little time, but the largest thing on my list was to landscape the front yard. So I decided that for my birthday, I wanted to landscape. My mom bought most of the plants, and I drew out a plan. Chris dug up most of the grass, and my mom and I built up the bed and planted everything. It turned out even better than I had hoped. I even have a soaker hose and a timer so they might have a chance at life, ha!
What a transformation- I love my front yard now! I must say, my favorite thing is the topiary on the corner… I can’t wait until it gets big! Also, these stained glass solar lights glow purple at night, wow <3
And that’s it! Whew! I think I’ll be sore for days… 
My birthday isn’t until Saturday, but Happy Birthday to me!!
