New Hair

Last week I decided to return to my purple roots (hehe =) and add some purple color to my hair. It has been a couple of years since I last had purple highlights/streaks, but this time I wanted to try something a bit different.

I had been seeing, loving, and pinning some lavendar ombre hair ideas for the past few weeks- and I finally decided to go for it. My vision was to have a lavendar fade into my blonde hair, and I’m very pleased with the results. I feel like ME again.. and it’s a great feeling. It’s funny what a little bit of color can do

Alt Summit- A Beautiful Experience

I’m back from Salt Lake City for my big trip to Alt Design Summit, and I can honestly say that I’m swirling with emotions: happy, sad, excited, inspired, motivated, overwhelmed, and mostly thankful for such an amazing opportunity. Savin’ Dollas

I was inspired by the post over at Design Love Fest about saving money, and I thought I’d share with you a new little journey I’m on.

It’s called saving money, and it’s basically a new concept for Chris and I- haha. Yes, we spend a lot of money on frivilous things. We’ve gotten better about it, but we’ve finally decided to crack down and get serious. Although I still like to shop and shop and shop (what girl doesn’t?), I’m going to have to do less shopping and more saving. It’s scary, and it’s probabl going to suck for a while- but I’m also looking forward to the challenge.

Yep, I’m in love again! IKEA has a classic-meets-contemporary set of furniture that I have fallen head over heels for. Can you guess why?

The major dilemma is now deciding on which piece(s) I can not live without. Each piece would look lovely in the studio, but I’m leaning mostly towards the lilac cabinet or sideboard. Even though I adore the round coffee & side tables, I’m not so sure they would be practical in this space. But gosh darn it, I want them all!
