New Hair

Last week I decided to return to my purple roots (hehe =) and add some purple color to my hair. It has been a couple of years since I last had purple highlights/streaks, but this time I wanted to try something a bit different.

I had been seeing, loving, and pinning some lavendar ombre hair ideas for the past few weeks- and I finally decided to go for it. My vision was to have a lavendar fade into my blonde hair, and I’m very pleased with the results. I feel like ME again.. and it’s a great feeling. It’s funny what a little bit of color can do

Yep, I’m in love again! IKEA has a classic-meets-contemporary set of furniture that I have fallen head over heels for. Can you guess why?

The major dilemma is now deciding on which piece(s) I can not live without. Each piece would look lovely in the studio, but I’m leaning mostly towards the lilac cabinet or sideboard. Even though I adore the round coffee & side tables, I’m not so sure they would be practical in this space. But gosh darn it, I want them all!

purple pretties- fine featherheads

Have you seen the latest craze? It’s feathered hair extensions called Fine Featherheads, and I recently got a (oh you already know!) purple one. They can be brushed, blow dried, curled, and straightened! Each featherhead is a bundle of six rooster feathers bonded at the tip.

The one I purchased has purple & natural colored feathers- I love it. I used to always dye purple streaks in my hair, but I got wayyyy tired of it fading so quickly. This is the perfect solution for me- it lasts up to 6 months! And I can move… Continue reading | 1 Comment

around the studio

Today I thought I’d show you come photos from my studio- which is undergoing a nice almost-spring makeover! I’m in the process of sewing curtains to cover the 18ft wide garage door, and WOW- it’s a lot of fabric! We did some rearranging over the weekend, and I’m still trying to get things in place. I can’t wait until it’s all complete!

Featured Friday- The Wandering Wardrobe

So obviously when one of my clients mention the word ‘purple’- I run with it. That was what got my creative thoughts going when I read what Patty had in mind for her custom blog theme. Patty is the owner of a consignment shop in Springfield, The Wandering Wardrobe. The consignment shop is located in a charming old house, and Patty takes great pride in owning a shop that is not your typical strip-mall stop.
